How to reuse small lip balm jars

I know we should be using anything but plastic jars for our lip balms but because we bought a large amount a long time ago, I want to use them up before buying an alternative. The good news is that these small jars can easily be reused. Here are some things I like to use them for other then lip balms.

1. Refill with your favourite moisturizer for traveling

2. Refill with a hand cream to keep in your purse

3. Go retro and store a solid perfume disc in an empty jar. Or you can make your own with this recipe:

1 TBSP carrier oil (around 14.5 grams), 2 tsp beeswax pellets (6 grams),35-40 drops essential oil

Place the carrier oil and beeswax on a glass bowl over a small saucepan filled with water. Allow to fully melt.

Pour the liquified oil into a clean, empty compact and let cool for two minutes.

Gently stir the essential oil into the liquified carrier oil and beeswax mixture.

As the perfume matures, the scent intensifies. Perfume will keep for 12 months.

4. Keep the jars for all those DIY skin care products you've always wanted to try. Here's a nice one to get you started:

DIY Lip scrub recipe: 1 tablespoon coconut oil, 1 tablespoon organic honey, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1/2 tablespoon lukewarm water

Start by mixing the coconut oil and honey.Add the brown sugar and the lukewarm water to this mixture.Rub the mixture on your lips in a circular motion for two to three minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water.

Enjoy! And ofcourse start by ordering one of our natural lip balms here:
